An uptime guarantee is a promise that the web hosting company makes with you promising that the server will be up and running x% of the time. This means that in one month you can have up to 10 GB of files on their hard drives, upload 100 GB of your webpage to potential customers, and that the downtime of the server will not exceed 43.2 minutes a month (99% usually has people feeling absolutely NO DOWNTIME can be expected from a promising reliable web hosting provider when in reality it approaches 1 hour

One may ask, “Why do we even need a uptime guarantee?” Do not be fooled! It’s not that the company wants to be your favorite buddy and do you a favor!
